Fred's Story

Reported missing 27 May 1918

Wounded, captured and taken to German Reserve Hospital at Schweidnitz where he died on 4th August 1918. from shell wound to knee joint following amputation. Buried in Military Cemetery there. In 1924 the Imperial War Graves Commission advised that his body had been exhumed and reburied in Berlin South-Western Cemetery, Stahnsdorf.
