William's Story

I'm the grandaughter of William Robinson I never met my grandad he died two years before I was born.

I'm doing this for my dad, he needs to find out any information about his father's war record. He told me grandad joined up to voulntary around 1914, believe that was the South Staffordshire Regiment. Then onto the Royal Horse Artillery, which we have a photo of him on a horse, but no dates.

We believe his army number may have be 223254, he was 16, and lasted right through the war. He has two medals silver looking with George V, and gold looking medal which was a campaign medal.
