Albert Henry's Story

My father told me he once met his younger brother, Alf, on a station somewhere in France and gave him cigarettes. He never saw him again, as Alf was killed in April 1918.

My father always had a great fear of fleas and if there was any suspicion of one being in his bed, mother would have to strip it down completely. I think this is a follow up of his experiences in the Great War.

My father never spoke of his experiences - only one.
