Alexander's Story

The Chaplain of the Black Watch wrote to his family; "As a tribute to a brave and capable soldier. A three volley saluit was fired over his grave. He lies amid the hills of Macedonia, much like the Scottish Highlands of Argyll where he spent his boyhood"

Shortly after the death, of this her second son at the war, his mother died of a heart attack.
