Ambrose's Story

A grandfather I never met. He served in the Royal Flying Corp in France and died near Bologne in 1917. I have all his letters to my grandmother, which make very sad but interesting reading. His son, my father, John Ambrose Humby served in the Royal Airforce and died as a result of injuries or disease from the war in Burma and India. I never had the pleasure of knowing either of the gentlemen.
