Hubert George Stern's Story
He died during the spring German offensive 1918.
103431 Private Hubert George Stern Squires, great-uncle, older brother of my grandmother Margaret Squires and son to George and Rosa Squires, died on 22 April 1918, just 18 years old. He was part of the 10th Battalion of the Sherwood Foresters. He died during the spring German offensive 1918 in France and Flanders near Lens. He is buried at Bagneux British Cemetery, Gezaincourt. Only just discovered you, but you will not be forgotten now.
