Arthur William's Story

He died aged 39 years after being wounded and hospitalised.

Private Arthur William Plummer was my great-uncle, he served with the 6th Battalion, the Queen's (Royal West Surrey Regiment). He died aged 39 years on Friday, 19 July 1918, after being wounded and hospitalised. Arthur was the son of Green Plummer and Susan Elizabeth Plummer of Kettering, and the husband of Mary Plummer who had died earlier in 1918. Arthur is remembered with honour at St Sever Cemetery Extension, Rouen, Seine-Maritime, France.
