Richard's Story

My great grandfather, Richard Walters, was a Private in the Notts and Derbyshire Sherwood Foresters. He was married to Sara and they lived in South Place, Barker Lane, Chesterfield. He was injured in WW1 in 1916 and then returned to the trenches and was subsequently killed on 4 August 1917 in France. He is buried in the British War Cemetry in Mezingarbe, France.
