Francis Glues Caddy's Story
Served in the Royal army Medical Corps - 50th Field Ambulance from August 1915 until his date of discharge ( unknown )
Wrote a daily diary of his life in a Field Hospital in France from 1st January 1916 until his first leave on 2nd May 1916. The diary is kept by his grandson Roger Blight.
Francis Blight survived the War and returned to the Coal Mining industry in Northumberland .He worked at North Walbottle Colliery and died in 1961 in Westerhope - outside Newcastle upon tyne
