Beloved Great Uncle George Knight, born 6th May 1898, in Sunderland, Durham, to George Knight and his wife Mary Kelly Knight, his siblings where Mary, Kate, Sarah Ann, James, my grandfather Thomas, Eleanor, Elsie and William.
Who died 1st July 1916, at the Battle of the Somme at the age of 18.
Rank: Private, Battalion: 13th, Regiment: Northumberland Fusiliers, Number: 17996. Remembered at Thiepval Memorial.
