John's Story
These are reminiscences of my grandmother some considerable time ago. She died in 1965.
He was my great uncle and he died in November 1917 at the battle of Cambrai. There is no grave.
My mother, his youngest sister, was born in January 1918.
I have only one photo of him which is in a group. He worked for a jewellers in Swansea before the war. He was interested in boxing and I know he was quite a talented artist as I have his sketch book.
