sidey harry Gregory's Story

I was only 5 when my great grandfather died but I still have memories of his big moustache. I have just a few photos of him in service in the first world war and 2 treasured photos of him in the Boer war. My family have a military history. My great great grandfather was 1 of 5 brothers who served in the Glosters and as an appreciation for one family dedicating their lives for Queen and country, Queen Victoria sent home £3.00 in recognition of service.
