Benjamin's Story

I visited the Somme Battlefield and saw Mash Valley where the West Yorkshire regiment attacked at 7.40 a.m. on the 1st July 1916 Battle Of The Somme. It was a very moving experience as Benjamin was killed by a shell as he advanced forward. His name is on the Thiepval monument.
