Thomas's Story
Killed at 3rd Ypres near Passcendale 17th August 1917. Very strange as neither my father nor uncle knew of his existence. Perhaps so traumatic was his loss to my great grandparents (he was the eldest of, eventually, twelve) that no one talked of it until many years later.
