Percy's Story

Awarded a D.C.M. during the Boer war and after twenty years service had to go and fight a world war just as he was due for retirement. His regiment was among the first in France in August 1914 and he never saw his youngest daughter (my mum) untill she was nearly five when he returned to U.K. in 1919. Fortunately he didn't catch the flue.
