Tom's Story

Tom enlisted on the day after his marriage in November 1914. He joined the 15th Battalion the Suffolk Regiment, and became assistant signal instructor to the 2/6th Cyclists Battalion until 1918. He was lucky in so much as the toss of a coin decided that he was not deployed overseas until after the Armistice.
