George's Story

He was killed during the Third battle of Ypres with no body found.

George Drew was my paternal grandfatherÂ’s elder brother. As I recall he was never mentioned when I was younger and I only found out about him a few weeks ago. He was killed during the Third battle of Ypres with no body found. A memorial for him is at Tyne Cot Memorial. As far as I know none of my family members have ever seen this.
