Francis's Story
Francis, father of four, did not have to go to war, but thought it his duty. He was killed in France in 1915, his children growing up never having had to the chance to know him. His youngest child was only six months old. Many men were in a similar position, what a waste of life. Any remembrance we do today is but a small price to pay compared with the price paid by these men and their families who were left.
