George's Story
Died in Mesopotamia on the 9th of April 1916 aged 26 years, service no 12214 is located on the wall of the Commonwealth war dead in Basra panel 9. Died leaving a wife and a son 2 years old

Hello Paul I have this info on George Salt, I also have a photo of the panel his name is on.
SALT, G., L/corporal., 9th Royal Warwickshire Regiment
He joined on the 1st June 1915 at Lichfield, and was sent to the Isle of Wight for training, and left for Mesopotamia in November 1916. Was killed in action at the Persian Gulf on the 9th April 1916.
