Thomas's Story
My wife, son and I visited his grave in June 2003. We were the first members of the family to have been there. On a beautiful hot sunny day we drove from Chelmsford and stopped at Flatiron Copse cemetry on our way to Paris. As we neared the cemetry, it started to rain heavily so we quickly paid our respects and took photos of the grave. As we drove away from the site, the rain stopped and the sun came out again.
On our return journey a few days later, again a beautiful hot sunny day, we decided to make a return to Flatiron Copse to get some better photos. As we neared the site it began to rain heavily again, clearing up as we left, as per the previous visit. Was this just a couple of freak weather conditions or a message from Thomas? I would like to think it was the latter.
