Arthur John's Story
My granddad volunteered May 1915 and served for three years on the Western front he took part in the Battle of Ypres, the Somme, Arras an Cambrai. Was Wounded and Gassed
he was demobilsed March 1919 He Never talked much about the
War only stories about finding Clean drinking water from a stream, and How he was buried by a bomb blast and only found
because his hand was left clear and moved as his mate look for him. He was a much loved Father and Grandfather.
