John's Story
Served in the british army, i think as a medic - often mentioned salonica, the boer war, galipoli, and the battle of the somme, not sure he fought in all of those places, cannot trace the irish who fought in the 1st ww, they are seldom if ever mentioned, my grandfather spent most of his life in the british army.
He died in roscrea, co tipperary in early fifties, and is buried in roscrea cemetary along with his wife (my grandmother)
