Walter Seymour's Story

Between 1911 and 1913 Dr Walter Seymour Armstrong had served as a surgeon with Sir Wilfred Grenfell in his mission in Labrador. Upon the outbreak of war he volunteered for the RAMC and served on a hospital ship in the evacuation from the Dardanelles in the December of 1915. He died on May 30th 1916, when attached to the Mhow Indian Cavalry Field Ambulance. He was married to Florence Hannah nee Kent.
