Fleming's Story

Fleming was a brother of my great-grandfather, William McCready. Fleming (10663) fought with the 2nd Battalion of the Royal Irish Fusiliers. According to the Mid-Ulster newspaper, he was the first soldier from his village to have died during the Great War. After Fleming's death, William joined the 124th CEF Battalion and returned to Canada after the war.
