James Richard's Story
My great grandfather joined up in 1916 at 33 years old ,shipped to Alexandria from Southampton with the 10th Bn Buffs,shot in right arm .
17-11-17 returned to Uk,shipped out again to rejoin 6th Bn Buffs 25-01-17 Killed in action Somme 18th sept 1918.
I have his medals, service records,cap badge and even dog tags,and also the dreaded telegram informing his wife of his death. Tragic.
