Frederick's Story
He was a Stoker 1st Class on HMS Formidable.
Frederick James North was my great-grandfather. He was a Stoker 1st Class on HMS Formidable, which was sunk by German U-boat U-24 on 1 January 1915 in Lyme Bay, England, with the loss of 547 men.
