Edwin's Story
My grandfather who died 2 months after my mother was born in 1917 never ever seeing her. My mother died in her 91st year knowing very little about her fathe.r I would very much like to know more
Ewin Steel was born in Snainton near Scarborough attended Snainton school was married to Ada Elizabeth watson who was from Thornton le Dale. Edwin was a twin. Edwin made seargent in the army and although his body was never found his name is engraved on the wall at Tyn Cot Cemetery.
