John Willy's Story

Trained in Llandundo, fought in Gallipoli. Outside of the war was a grave digger... and a great drinker, spending most of his time in the Conservative Club in Hallam Street in Stockport (the street where he was brought up). He lived in the same house in Stockport for most of his life; his grandaughter, Kathy Salt, was born at a house in the same street, from which her great grandma runned a milk company. She owned half the buildings on the street... but sadly, he then drank the wealth away.
