William's Story

He was captured by the Germans and spent over three years as a POW.

William was under-age when he enlisted in the Lincolnshire Regiment. He was sent to France where he was captured by the Germans and spent over three years as a POW. In 1923 he emigrated to Australia, where he died in 1977.
