Wilson Thomas's Story

Killed in action 7 May 1917 at Oppy Wood, France. Here is a message my mum wrote on the back of a photograph of him:

A dad I never knew, as years go by I think of him more, I am now aged 71. As I write this may God rest the souls of all who gave their lives (for what) freedom. Who ever reads this after I am no more please remember all those who loved and lost.

My Grandad, Private 20854, a very special man.
