John Samuel's Story
Lance Serjant J S Bass MM died on the 2nd Sebtember 1918 age 34 at the battle of Bapaume he was born and lived in Dean north Beds, He won the MM and was mentioned in despatches trying to knock out a machine gun post on the 2nd September 1918 John is buried at the VAULX HILL CEMETRY Pas de Calsis,France.Other than this I have very little more information
