Enlisted at Hounslow 05.10.1908. Service number 17972. Seved Aldershot then Co Cork. Due for discharge 05.10.1914
Ultimatum exoired 4.08.1914. To France 11.08.1914. With J. Section A Signal Company seving just behind lines.
Indian Army took over February 1915. 25.8.1915 worried about zeps over West Ham. 04.11 1915.To Serbia. 20.1.1916 With No3 Airline Section HQ Signal Co. Salonika. 18/19/20 1917 August Fire of Salonika. Photo of friend burnt and subsequently died. Many pictures of aftermath. Discharged after 10 years 181 dayds service. Enrolled Merchant Marine 05.051919. Service with North Russia Force Archangel. On HMS Pembroke. Disharged 24.11.1919. Every letter to his mother has been retained. with circa 150 postcards and photograhps.
