Ernest's Story
He was shot and captured by the Turkish army on the banks of the river Jordan and was a prisoner of war in Affian Quarissa.
Picture taken in Cairo.

Ernie served in the 20th London Regiment and later transferred to the RAMC. His brother Alf served in India and was also wounded allthough I don't know how. Ernest died in Maidstone in 1957 aged 70. He left his wife Annie and two daughters and a son.
