Thomas's Story

Thomas was killed on the 5th November 1916 at Butte de Warlencourt on the Somme whilst serving with the 1st/6th Battalion Durham Lights, he enlisted in Bishop Auckland. Thomas is remembered on the Thiepval Memorial. As a family we have never seen a photo of Thomas, as his only daughter was only 6 months old when he was killed
