Micheal's Story

In memory of my granddad Micheal Moore (private) , he volunteered in 1914 and went to the western front the same year, he took part in fighting at Ypres, Lens, La Bassee, Armentieres, and the Somme. He was badly wounded on the Somme, as a result he was discharged as medically unfit, but later rejoined for twelve months, and was engaged on important duties in connection with the graves registration dept. He died in 1935 as a result of the mustard gas on the Somme.
