I never new my Grandfather,,He died the day after I was born,Aged 65years.

I was told that my Grandfather was at Ypres sometime during the first world war he was in hospital for some time as he lost a lung due to the gas attacks, he suffered all his life and my Mother said it was awful seeing him struggle for breath. He was only 5' 2" with blue eyes he was a much loved husband father and Grandfather. He used to sing 'My Ole Dutch' to my Grandmother. They had six children and thirteen Grandchildren.
