George Alfed's Story

George Alfred was returning to England after the war had ended.He was involved in an accident. Family legend says it was involving his horse slipping on the ice in France. He was taken to back to England landed at Southhampton. He was taken to University Hospital where he died, cause of death was ruptured gall bladder causing septic poisoning aged 23.

Almost made it home

He was mentiond in dispatches, but I have not been able to find any information about this.
