Soldier Record

Baden was my mother's uncle, being the youngest brother of my grandmother. I was not born until 1939, but can clearly remember as a child that Baden's name coming up in discussions about past memories of departed family loved-ones. His premature death was ironic as he was not killed in action but died from a terminal infection contracted whilst serving in the Royal Airforce during the latter stages of the last year of the war.
