John Alban's Story

John Alban Davies was my Grandfather. He volunteered for the Royal Naval Division and served in the Dardanelles. He was one of the lucky ones, he survived the fighting & the wretched conditions, despite suffering Typhoid, Paratyphoid, Dysentry and Enteric fever. He always kept us children amused with all his tall tales. None of us realised the suffering behind the stories.
