Percy's Story

My husband didn't know anything about his Great Grandfather until I started working on his family tree. Despite being very close to his Grandfather Walter, my husband had never heard Percy's story, probably because Walter was only six when the war started and Percy joined up. Percy is buried in the Amara War Cemetery in Iraq, so it is unlikely that we will ever be able to pay our respects.
