Albert's Story

C.S.M. Albert Gasson was my grandfather who served in the Essex Regt. in WW1 He died of his wounds in Belgium on 31/7/1918. He also served in the East Yorkshire Regt. and fought in the South African campaign in 1901 and 1902 I have his 1918 diary, some letters from the front to my grandmother.

He is buried in Nine Elms Cemetary near Poperinge in Belgium which I have visited.
