Walter's Story
Walter was my grandad he joined the Northampton in 1914 at the drill hall in Kettering and served until 1918.He could not find work and rejoined the served till 1923. He fought in major battles Gazza,North West Frontier,Gallipoli. At the armest he was in Egypt.They drove the local trains & trams into Cairo and went celebrating. He went to my passing out parade when I joined the Raf in 1977.
