Arthur's Story

Arthur Rymill was born on 29th December 1892 in West Derby Liverpool. He served in the Somme in the 1st World War winning the military medal for bravery. He sent his sister embroidered post cards home all through the war. He survived the war, joined the flying corps at the end of the war, married, having two children. He never spoke about the war preferring to forget all about his experiences. He died aged 94 in 1986.
