William's Story
William McDougall was a carter with the Glasgow Corporation. He joined the West Yorkshire Regiment, as this was a horse regiment. He was married to Catherine Hallinan and they had six children. He is remembered by grandchildren and the families of Swanson, in Toronto, Magee, McDougall, and Cowie in West of Scotland.
