James's Story
this is the only photo I have of my grandad-as an old man.I never knew him.
He served in WW1 and the Boer War and was a miner in civillian life.
He survived the Great War and lived until 1941.
HIs heart gave out due to his liying in fields and ditches throwing anything he could find at the Luftwaffe in WW2.He was taken back,in his mind, to WW1 and Flanders.
