Sidney Percy's Story
My Godfather and Great Uncle. A bachelor who enjoyed travelling. He was a member of St Saviours Church, St Albans. He never spoke of his time in the trenches, but I am the proud owner of his war diary (first year of the war only) and war photographs.
Known as Percy. Enlisted in the Hertfordshire Regt (T) on 2 September 1914. Trained at Rougham, near Bury St Edmunds until dropped to France with Regt on 5 November 1914. "B" Company.
