Charles's Story

Our grandfather was injured at Hill 60 at Ypres on 27th April. He was shot in the stomach as some of his Company advanced to a new parapet of the trench. He was taken across the border to hospital in Hazebrouck and died on the 28th of his wounds. Our father was born on 8th April. We do not know if Charles knew if he had a son.
