Albert's Story
Joining in 1917, he was drafted to the Western Front three months later, and there saw much heavy fighting. He took part in the Battle of Ypres, and many other engagements, was wounded in 1917, and gassed in 1918, and was for 2 months in hospital at Le Havre. He fell fighting on September 23rd 1918 during the Advance, and was entitled to the General Service and Victory medals. "He nobly fell that we might live".
