Henry William Bonser's Story
Harry was conscripted in December 1916 and, after training, served in Flanders from May 1917.
He fought in the battle of Messines Ridge and was in the Ypres area with the 9th Battalion York & Lancaster Regiment through Passchendaele until in November 1917 his battalion moved to Italy to fight the Austro-Hungarian army.
He was there until the end of the war and beyond.
