Frederick's Story
This is my Great Uncle Cecil Taylor who was born in Doncaster on 14 April 1897. He died in the Battle Fields of France just one day before his 21 birthday, in the Battle of Hazebrouck 13 April 1918.
On hearing the news of their sons death my Great Grandparents were heart broken and Cecil's mother never got over the loss of her only son.
I look at Cecil's photo and see the family resemblance in our family today my nephew Robert has so many similar features.
I am hoping in the next month that I am able to pay my respects at Cecil's grave at Aval Wood Military Cemetery in Vieux-Berquin Northern France.
